JINQUAN LIANG
Jin is currently working as a Vice President at NYC Economic Development Corporation. He has over 8 years of experience in managing complex public/private ground lease development projects in New York City.
His real estate expertise includes lease negotiation, property budgeting, lease audit, lease administration and project management.
Jin graduated from Hamilton College with a BA in Economics and received his MBA in real estate from Baruch College.

CHRISTY LANG
Christy is a seasoned financial professional with 15+ years of expertise in hedge funds, asset management, and real estate investments. She is a Program Manager at Clipp, leading initiatives to optimize logistics and reduce waste in the food supply chain. In 2020, she co-founded Smoove Ice Cream, blending creativity and food while providing job opportunities for young individuals.
She is a holder of a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, a Master of Science in Management, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Rochester.

JIIN WEN
Jiin excels in advisory roles for GISc programs at Lehman College and BMCC. She brings over 15 years of expertise to the curriculum board of NYC DOE's premier CTE program at the High School of Art and Design, where she mentors in the architecture program.
Professionally, Jiin is a multi-disciplinary expert in architecture, urban planning, and geospatial data.
She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute and a Master of Urban Planning from CUNY, Hunter College.

SIMON LIAO
Simon began in education, focusing on student affairs, then shifted to senior services, sparking a passion for aiding the elderly. Early in his career, he managed innovative programs at senior centers, handling contracting, outreach, and staff supervision.
As BHRAGS Home Care's Director of Business Development, Simon addresses healthcare disparities for seniors and vulnerable populations. He builds community relationships, conducts trainings, and oversees intake and marketing.
Simon holds an MA in Higher Education Administration from NYU (2014) and a BA in Business Administration from CUNY Baruch College (2011). Fluent in Spanish and Chinese, he merges business knowledge with social entrepreneurship.

JAYSON CHONG
Jayson, a Top 50 Asian Startup Entrepreneur (2014), co-founded Kulu Desserts (2011) and expanded Smoove Ice Cream into California (2020), showcasing commitment to entrepreneurship and community impact.

With an inspiring journey, he opened Kulu Desserts with <$10k, gaining media attention in 2014, adding resilience and community engagement.
With 18 years overseeing chain restaurants and co-founding Clipp, Jayson brings valuable insights. Actively supporting the community, he sponsors college events and engages in local student activities. Prioritizing inclusive hiring, Jayson provides opportunities for students, emphasizing mentorship and contributing skills to CAN for guiding students in internships and jobs.

AIMEE REN
Aimee had worked in K12 international education for over 11 years. She provided consultation to support students to be the better version of themselves. She contributed herself as a volunteer in an NGO for 12 years, pressing ahead projects into school and society with the team.
She received her Master degree in Education and BS.

JUDY TAM
Judy, NYCEDC Vice President, boasts diverse professional experience in public, private, and non-profit sectors. Specializing in technology initiatives, she bridges business and technology, adept at overcoming obstacles.
She holds a BA in Information Systems from Baruch and an MBA in Computer Science and International Study from Pace. In her leisure time, she is an explorer of different cultures, arts, cuisines, and countries.

YANTING (TINA) LI
Tina, a John Dewey High School graduate (June 2018), earned a Financial Economics degree from Binghamton University (December 2022).
In March 2023, she joined NYC Economic Development Corp. as an analyst, later securing the Vice President role at CAN after two years.

ZHUOHAO TAN
Tan, a Junior at Elon University, stands out as both a Lumen and Golden Door Scholar, majoring in Computer Science. He is currently engaged in innovative research combining Generative Adversarial Networks with Pancreatic Cancer studies.
His previous role as a Community Ambassador for CUNY and the NYC DOE College Immigrant Ambassador Program highlights his commitment to supporting the immigrant community.

CATHERINE HUANG
Catherine graduated from the University of Toronto in June 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration specializing in business management and marketing.
She began her professional career not long ago and is currently the senior marketing associate at Smoove Ice Cream while also working on branding and website-related projects outside of Smoove.

CT is a distinguished former teacher who taught at John Dewey High School in Brooklyn, NY and economics at a university in Hong Kong.
Over his 20 year long career, at John Dewey, CT generously devoted his personal time to his immigrant students. He prepared them for the SAT and provided college and career advice. His valuable mentorship has helped numerous students unleash their potential, inspire them to pursue higher education, seek out meaningful careers, and envision different possibilities in life.

AMY WU
Amy has over 20 years of experience in finance, technology, and management. As a Technology Project Manager at HPS Investment Partners, LLC, she leads cross-functional teams, optimizing project delivery and driving operational excellence. Skilled in team development and technology project management, she excels at guiding projects from requirements to deployment.

Amy is known for her strong financial analysis, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration across disciplines. Her expertise includes financial reporting, due diligence, process optimization, and technology integration, making her a versatile leader. Based in the NYC area, she continues to focus on opportunities where technology, strategy, and people intersect to drive impact.
At leisure, Amy enjoys different extreme outdoor activities and indoor sports. In addition to her active life, Amy loves to explore different cuisine from all around the world.

Carol is currently working as an Executive Director in Morgan Stanley responsible for technology governance and risk management, compliance with policies, standards and regulations, as well as special initiatives/projects.
She is a strategic and thought leader who has worked in the financial services industry for more than 18 years with well-rounded expertise in areas of auditing, compliance and regulations, risk management, vendor and project management.

BRUCE FEFFER
Bruce, a New York attorney for over three decades, specializes in real estate and commercial transactions. He aids private corporations and nonprofits in corporate governance. With a focus on Asia, he has represented clients, visited China for philanthropy and business. Recognized by AAFE with "Dream of Equality" and "Agent of Change" awards, Bruce is actively involved in the Asian American community.
He is a board member at AREAA, Legal Advisor to ACRES, and recipient of an "Appreciation Award" from Immigrant Social Services of NY.
